I started attending rat shows for the social aspect as they are a great place to talk to like minded people face to face. Being in Cornwall meant that there were few shows that I could easily get to per year therefore I helped setup the 'South West Rat Club'. Although the SWRC isn't currently NFRS affiliated (we hope to be in the future!) it provides a place to get feedback from experienced people on the health, condition and temperament of my rats. I also attend NFRS shows.
